228.Intentional insult or interruption to public servant sitting in judicial proceeding

Whoever intentional^ⓘly offers any insult^ⓘ, or causes any interruption^ⓘ to any public^ⓘ servant^ⓘ, while such public^ⓘ servant^ⓘ is sitting^ⓘ in any stage of a judicial^ⓘ proceeding^ⓘ, shall be punished with simple imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months, or with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees, or with both.
